Cold Formed/Cold Headed Parts

Cold formed parts, special & shoulder rivets are available to meet nearly any application requirement including non-fastening applications such as pins, pivots, axles, contacts and knobs as well as other applications. As with standard rivets, these parts are available in a variety of materials and finishes. Minimum orders start at 25,000 pieces, but may vary based on complexity of part.

• Rivets and cold formed parts up to 5/8” diameter in lengths up to 5”
• Materials include stainless, carbon steel, aluminum, brass and copper.
• Styles range from semi tubular rivets to highly complex parts incorporating multiple diameters and other special features.
• Secondary capabilities include shaving, drilling, tapping, knurling, thread-rolling, heat treating and a wide array of finishes to provide corrosion resistance and cosmetic appearance to suit your application.

Tapped Rivets

A variation of tubular rivets with a shank drilled and tapped to receive a threaded fastener.  Used in materials too thin to accept their own tapping.  Chicago Rivet makes tapped rivets with both through holes and blind holes.  In addition, we manufacture tapped rivets with weld tip projections that permit the part to be resistance welded to an assembly.

Compression Rivets

A solid rivet with a chamfered shank and a deep drilled rivet.  Designed to fit accurately into counter bored holes and provide a finished appearance on both sides of the cutlery handle. Minimum order quantity is 25,000 pieces of each rivet.
