Position: Forklift Driver – Receiving

Shift: 1st Shift for a minimum of one month (Monday through Friday, 7a-3p)
Compensation: Starting at $18/hr but negotiable based on Experience.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for receiving and handling all incoming materials, maintaining organization and inventory transactions in the wire room. Inventory Control using ERP system, drawing wire (this is a process in which you take a coil of wire and set it up on a bull block to draw it down to a smaller size)
A large percentage of this position is on the factory floor fulfilling material handling needs between departments. The time on the floor can be up to 75% of the daily time demand. During this time frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds is required on a continual basis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform all physical receiving duties. This includes unloading/loading trucks, transporting materials to the department where they are needed, keeping the dock and warehouse areas clean and organized, etc.
• Enter Wire Transfer transactions into Syteline (ERP) for all wire movement. Be able to search for and analyze information within Syteline to assist with inventory and transaction control (e.g. ,lot information/history, material transactions, purchase orders and receipts, material transactions, inventory counts, etc.). This process includes receiving in Syteline all incoming items (supplies, wire, purchased components, etc.).
• Responsible for all wire transfers into and out of the warehouse, NCM area, and header areas for all shifts. Any missed or incorrect transaction needs fixed daily.
• Provide wire to the Header Department; monitor headers to ensure wire is available to complete orders.
• Draw wire to a certain size, Set up coils of wire to run through the bull block machine you will have to flip the coils over and that weight could be up to 100lbs.
• Transport and properly store chemicals in the chemical storage room; maintain strict housekeeping, organization and safety standards.
• Stage wire for new jobs and prepare draw mills for inline drawing. Draw wire offline as needed.
• Fork truck operation is necessary.
• Pig mat – Make a new box on skid up, tag it with non-hazardous sticker. When full of pig mat, weigh it and date it and take to the shed.
• Weigh and record in Syteline all scrap against correct job orders daily.
• Email the metal scrap hauler for pick up and occasionally the waste oil company for pick up.
• As needed – take totes of waste oil out to shed and bring empties in as needed.
• As metal drums are emptied throughout the plant, cut lids off, drain and put under your trailer in receiving area to use for your metal scrap. (periodic)
• Communicate to Purchasing Specialist what oils are low that need ordered via email.
• Conduct full inventory and cycle counts of wire as directed or as needed to ensure accurate inventory.
Qualifications:
• High School Graduate or equivalent, and
– 2 Years Experience operating fork trucks or lift equipment in a manufacturing setting, or
– Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good computer and math skills/experience and/or demonstrated aptitude.
• Good understanding of process routing and warehousing experience.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, Syteline system preferred but not required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and industrial lubricants.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Safely operate forklifts and other equipment as needed to perform the job effectively.
